ALBERTA GROWN MUSIC SERIES

Alberta Grown Music Series

The 2019-2020 Season:
Five incredible concerts featuring artists with roots deeply embedded in the soil of our province. Bluesy, classical, rock n roll, folk, and “baroque pop”, we are offering a wide range of voices to share in the telling of the story of our community, our Alberta Grown Music.

OUR ARTISTS THAT HAVE PERFORMED THIS YEAR

F&M

Performed
Friday, October 25 @ 8:00 pm

It was a beautiful night with F&M’s Ryan and Rebecca Anderson. These two have been creating music together for more than 10 years, crafting hauntingly beautiful melodies paired with whimsical arrangements

Jay Gilday

Friday, November 29 @ 8:00 pm

Singing with depth, not just in timbre but also lyrically, Jay Gilday enamoured audiences at Edmonton Folk Music Festival this past summer. His song writing is an authentic introspection of Self and Belonging; beautiful and raw without pageantry nor pretense.

Major Love

Friday, January 31 @ 8:00 pm

MAJOR LOVE is the moniker of Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colleen Brown – and a collaboration featuring Alberta rock darlings Scenic Route To Alaska.

Christine Hanson

Friday, February 28 @ 8:00 pm

Honestly. We couldn’t say it better than the bio on her website, so here it is:

“Christine emerged triumphant from a very long fistfight sporting a Pinteresque keeker applied in installments during her formative years.
