Everyone experiences challenges at one time or another. When that happens, it can be hard to live from our highest and best. The Centre's team of spiritual leaders and licensed affirmative prayer practitioners have spent more than five years in careful study of spiritual principle. Each one is gifted at helping you see the pathway forward.
Spiritual Leadership team
“My work here is about supporting any and all of us living our soul’s intention. Our soul’s intention is something we don’t need to seek or find, it’s something we simply need to awaken to.”
Cliff Rubin has been a crisis worker, author, filmmaker and musician until his soul’s intention led him to ministry. Over the last decade, Cliff has been in ministry in California and North Carolina until settling in Edmonton where his enthusiasm for transforming lives has sparked & inspired the community. Drawing from many different spiritual teachers, Cliff uses self-deprecating humour and compelling storytelling that empowers and inspires.
“What I’ve learned is it’s all about whether we are going after something from our ego self or our higher self, which is our soul’s intention.”
An ordained minister, Tammy has been a student of Science of Mind (SOM) for 20 years. Passionate about teaching, Tammy is known for her welcoming warmth and humour. Time spent with Tammy is fun and enlightening. When she isn’t teaching tools of transformation she is a dedicated foster Mom to elder dogs looking for their forever home.

“I have always had the viewpoint as a citizen of the earth,” reflects Ashley Fuller-Rubin on what was a fairly nomadic childhood, “so it’s exhilarating to be in Canada, doing what I am called to do.”
Living all over North America may have had some influence on her rich and varied skillset. Ashley is a singer, actress, practical mystic, spiritual guide, international transformational coach and end-of-life doula, along with being a wife, mother, sister and auntie. She is passionate about sharing New Thought, ancient wisdom and Science of Mind (and heart) teachings.
“Being called to support people to awaken to their spiritual magnificence, to the truth of their being; it’s a great honour, and a great privilege.”

Trish Barr-Mendis grew up going to church with her mom in Manitoba but found herself looking for something more that would resonate with her on a deeper, spiritual level.
Still searching for a spiritual place, Trish moved to Edmonton, Alberta. While in her early 30’s, she discovered two pivotal books, The Philistine Prophesy and Mutant Message Down Under and knew she needed to find like-minded people.
What led Trish to be a practitioner was when she was writing her mother’s eulogy. “I didn’t realize at the time that I was also trying to do service. Things cracked open, and the truth emerged where I realized I wanted to become a minister. When I walked through the doors of CSL Edmonton; it was home. I knew this was where I was supposed to be.”

Vicki is a ‘mostly’ retired RN, having worked in the field of geriatrics and mental health for much of her career – she feels her years as a SOM practitioner have been invaluable in her work with clients and families. As well, she has been a long time member of the Alanon program, which supports friends and family of people with addiction – she finds it works wonderfully with the SOM philosophy. She is blessed to have an awesome blended family – children, grandchildren and grand pets. It is a true gift to be part of this wonderful community.
