Open Your Heart to Volunteering...
Stepping into joyful service with others brings spiritual living to life.
At Centres for Spiritual Living we believe that Spirit works boththrough us, andas us. Volunteering or being in Sacred Service is so much more than doing the task at hand. It's about actively engaging with Spirit.
There's an old Buddhist saying about "chop wood, carry water". At Centres for Spiritual Living we believe "how you do anything, is how you do everything".
Whether it's preparing coffee, helping someone sign up for a class, or mowing the lawn, we are in service to a higher good, as well as to each other. In this way, we create positive collaborative teams that co-create the future.
- Generosity: It’s an opportunity to give back, pay it forward, or help others, which in turn can be fulfilling for you.
- Passion: It’s a way to make a difference about something you care about.
- Resourcefulness: It’s an opportunity to accomplish things in your community that otherwise wouldn’t get done.
- Connection: It’s a great way to meet new people and become part of a community.
- Belonging: It can help to improve your language skills and get acquainted with a new culture.
- Health: Serving has been shown to improve overall health and wellbeing.
- Learning: It can offer new knowledge and skills.
- Adventure: It’s a chance to try something new or different.
- Enjoyment: It can be a lot of fun!
- Ambition: It builds your resumé and offers great work experience.
The Centre for Spiritual Living Edmonton offers many opportunities for spiritual connection & community.
