Spirit Groups Program Leader

Reports to:  Minister/Operations as assigned.

2 Year Commitment

Contract Position - Part time up to 16 hours per week

The Spirit Groups Program Leader (SGPL) is primarily responsible for the overall effectiveness of Spirit Groups, the small group ministries program. In addition, the SGPM guides, inspires, trains and equips Host/Facilitators in their respective roles. The SGPM is also charged with maintaining program excellence and coordinating all aspects of the small group ministries program including evaluation of system and Host/Facilitators.  

Resume deadline is January 9, 2017 & all candidates must be available for training either on Jan 10 and 11 during the day or on Friday night Jan 20 and all day Saturday January 21 to be considered for this position.  Training is online, but will be livestreamed at the Centre.

Has strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills
Uses effective communication skills
Models good leadership skills
Is able to use and/or learn computer systems efficiently
Able to create and or learn PowerPoint and present presentations

Qualifications:

Is a governing (voting) member of the ministry
Has completed the Spirit Groups Train the Trainer training
Has completed the Q Process
Has previous training experience
Has previous group facilitation experience

Accountabilities:

We count on our Spirit Groups Program Leader for:

Overseeing the Spirit Groups Program
Recruiting and interviewing potential Hosts/Facilitators
Training new Hosts/Facilitators
Identifying groups moving forward out of training
Developing a schedule for promotion and kick-off
Tracking all aspects of system including Hosts/Facilitators, groups and group member’s attendance
Ordering and maintaining materials
Conducting Host Check-in Groups
Reporting to minister
Attending any meeting with staff, as necessary
Serving as a host, as necessary
Conducting on-going Host and Leaders leadership development
Planning and implementing Celebration Events
